Miracle Knots for Crochet Braids

Miracle Knots are bundles of 100% virgin human hair tied at the top into small, flat knots. For crochet braids, your own hair is cornrowed and the knots are pulled through the cornrows with a crochet (latch) hook. No braiding in, no wefts, no glue: a full head takes a fraction of the time of knotless braids and the knots sit invisibly against the scalp.

How much hair do I need?
Each bundle weighs 60 g. For a full head of crochet braids we recommend:

For a full look we recommend 240–300 g. The closer the knots are placed, the fuller the result, so choose the higher amount for very dense styles or long hair.
How to install Miracle Knots with the crochet method
- Cornrow your hair. Braid your own hair into small, flat cornrows in the pattern you want (straight back is the easiest). Keep them neat and not too tight.
- Separate the knots. Split the bundle into single knots before you start.
- Hook and pull through. Slide the crochet (latch) hook under a cornrow, close the latch around the knot and pull it through to the front.
- Secure. Pull the loose ends through the loop behind the knot and tighten gently so the knot sits flat against the cornrow.
- Repeat. Work along each cornrow, placing the knots about a finger width apart. Place them closer at the crown and hairline for fullness.
- Finish. Separate and shape the curls with your fingers, then set with water or a curl-defining mousse.
You need a crochet or latch hook, a rat-tail comb for parting and hair clips. The style lasts about 4 to 8 weeks with proper care.
Care
- Detangle from the ends upwards with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb while the hair is damp.
- Wash gently with a sulfate-free shampoo and a moisturising conditioner, and rinse well around the cornrows.
- Keep your scalp moisturised with a light oil along the partings.
- Air dry for the best curl definition – use heat sparingly.
- Protect the hair at night with a satin bonnet or silk pillowcase.
- Take-down: cut only the loop you made, never the knot of the bundle, so the hair can be washed and reused.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference to braiding the hair in?
For Boho or Knotless Braids the hair is braided into each braid. With crochet braids the hair is hooked into a cornrow base, which is much faster and puts less tension on your own hair. For loose bulk hair to braid in, see our Bulk Hair for Boho Braids page.
Do I need the knotless crochet method?
No. Miracle Knots already have a small, flat knot, so you simply pull it through and secure it. The knot is not visible.
Can Miracle Knots be coloured?
Yes. As 100% virgin human hair they can be dyed or toned by a professional. Strong bleaching or intense heat can change the natural curl pattern.
Can I reuse them?
Yes. With proper care and a careful take-down, Miracle Knots can be reused for several installations.
